Composition
NaCl 1 g   KCl 0.5 g   MgCl2·6H2O 0.4 g   CaCl2·2H2O 0.1 g   KH2PO4 0.2 g   NH4Cl 0.5 g   Bacto Yeast Extract (Difco) 0.2 g   Trimethylamine-HCl 1.5 g   Trace elements solution* 2 ml   Vitamin solution** 2 ml   NaHCO3 1.7 g   Na2S·9H2O 0.5 g   Resazurin 1 mg   Distilled water 1 L     Mix ingredients except trimethylamine, vitamin solution, NaHCO3 and Na2S·9H2O, and autoclave under a N2/CO2 (80/20) atmosphere. Separately autoclave Na2S·9H2O as 5% solution under a N2 atmosphere. Aseptically and anaerobically add filter-sterile trimethylamine as 15% solution, NaHCO3 as 8% solution and vitamin solution to the medium. Prior to inoculation, add the sterile Na2S·9H2O solution.
