Composition
Hipolypepton* 0.5 g   Bacto Yeast Extract (Difco) 0.25 g   Glucose 0.1 g   Agar (if needed) 15 g   Distilled water 1 L   pH 4.5                     *FUJIFILM Wako Pure Chemical Corporation, Osaka, Japan.       Mix ingredients except for glucose, adjust pH to 4.5 with HCl, and autoclave. After autoclaving, add separately sterilized glucose solution. For solid medium, equal volumes of separetely autoclaved Hipolypepton and Yeast extract solution (pH 4.5) and glucose and agar solution (pH unadjusted) are mixed.
