Composition
Bacto PPLO Broth w/o CV (Difco) 2 g   Bacto Tryptone (Difco) 1 g   Bacto Peptone (Difco) 0.8 g   Glucose 0.1 g   Fructose 0.1 g   Sucrose 1 g   Sorbitol 7.5 g   Phenol red 6 mg     Dissolve above in 80 ml of water and adjust to pH 7.8. Bring to 90 ml with water. Autoclave and cool to room temperature. Add the following under sterile conditions: Schneider's Drosophila medium (Invitorogen, Gibco) 160 ml, Fetal bovine serum (heat-inactivated) 50 ml, Penicillin G (100,000 U/ml) 2.5 ml.
