About Human Gateway® Entry Clones

About human Gateway® entry clones

The human Gateway® entry clones were constructed by cloning of PCR-amplified open reading frame (ORF) fragments from full-length human cDNA clones or other resource cDNAs. There are two kinds of human Gateway® entry clones, "N-type" and "F-type". The difference between them are:

N-typeF N-type clones that have an intrinsic stop codon for the production of native or N-terminal fusion proteins.
F-typeF F-type clones that do not have an intrinsic stop codon for C-terminal fusion proteins.

The DNA fragment cloned into an Gateway® entry clone can be moved into one or more destination vectors simultaneously by Gateway® technology. For more information about Gateway® technology, please visit the website of Invitrogen (http://www.invitrogen.com).

[Note] NBRC does not distribute destination vectors and LR clonase.
Please contact to dealers and Invitrogen or its agent for destination vectors and LR clonase respectively.

Important notice

  1. Human Gateway® entry clones are protected by Limited Use Label License: No.19 (Gateway® Cloning Products) (PDF: 13KB). By opening the package, you are agreeing to be bound by this label lisence.
  2. Human Gateway® entry clone(s) is checked by cutting with restriction enzymes for the quality verification per order.
The sequences of inserts were verified by depositer. However, it biologically cannot be denied that there are mutated regions in the clone caused by cultivation. It is strongly recommended that you should confirm the sequence(s) of clone(s) before you use it.
If you find mutated clone(s), please inform it to us, dna@nbrc.nite.go.jp, for quality maintenance.
  3. Since the sequences and annotations of human Gateway® entry clones are obtained experimentally, you should understand that any mistakes of them cannot be eliminated completely.
  4. If you have problems in human Gateway® entry clone(s) that you receive, please contact to us, dna@nbrc.nite.go.jp, within thirty days.
